Vice President’s Report – Tim Sumiec

  • The transitional merger between North Central Chapter and our own has been complete with the final transfer of funds last month.
  • Thanks to our guest speakers on Collaborative Process Orientation, Nancy Cannon, Karen Zimmermann and Anne Weaver from the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin.
  • Governor Jim Doyle signed a Proclamation established Nov 9 – 14th as “Family is Forever” week, Children and Divorce Awareness Week in the State of Wisconsin.  CFLCW will sponsor an interactive seminar: “Taking the War out of Words” November 12th at the Delafield Hotel.  Look up www.collabdivorce.com for more information.

Education Report – Tim Sumiec

  • Ethical Challenges in EAP Practice – Friday September 11, 2009.  This is a four hour morning training session in Madison.
  • EAP World Conference in Dallas TX October 21 – 24, 2009, register at www.eapassn.org
  • 2nd Annual End-of-Life Conference September 9th at the Majestic Theater in Pewaukee.  A great conference to attend or exhibit, please contact Kathy Sprenger for details 414-292-6325
  • 3rd Annual PURSE-Coalition for WI Aging Groups Fundraiser, September 24th at the Italian Community Center 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, Auction, Lunch, and Fashion Show.

Administrative ReportScott Piper

  • Our next meeting is September 8th at Rogers Memorial Hospital, 11100 & Lincoln Ave., 8:30 am.

Wellness Report – Christine Hansburg-Hotson

  • Christine is planning a Wellness/Health Fair presentation for our December 10th Holiday Meeting.

Membership Report – Mickey Gabbert

  • Mickey will help sponsor a door prize raffle to encourage members to attend.
  • Guest:  Nice to meet Carla Eichinger

Conference Committee Report – Chris Baranowski

  • Tentative dates for next years conference will be April 29th & 30th 2010.

Next Chapter Meeting is October 8th.  Dan Nommensen will discuss Employee Assistance and Christian Counseling.
