About the Greater Wisconsin Chapter

Serving southeastern and upper Wisconsin.

President’s Welcome

It is with great honor that I have accepted the position of President for the Greater Wisconsin EAP Chapter.   For those of you who may not know me (which is many), I have been in the field of Employee Assistance for almost 25 years.  My career has taken me to a Christian organization where I’m currently working as an Employee Assistance Counselor/Case Manager.  During my lifetime I co-raised three children ages 30 to 17 and am married to the same person for over 20 years.  My youngest is currently a Senior in High School.  So next year at this time I will be the officially an “empty nester”.  Exciting and scary all at the same time.

I’m sad to say Goodbye to Chuck Austin as our President.  Fortunately, I am blessed as he will continue to stay involved with our Chapter and guide our current board as we proceed into 2019.  I personally would like to Thank Chuck for his many years of service as our Chapter President and dedication to our Chapter.  He has been a driving force and inspiration to many.

My history with Employee Assistance began early in my college career before I even knew what EAP was called.  ALL I knew was “I wanted to provide counseling services to employees while at work.”  Now, I know this is what is called an Employee Assistance Program.  I became more involved to make professional contacts, network, discover new resources and earn continuing education all at the same time.

I would like to welcome ALL (HR Professional, Workplace Safety, Union Reps., Coaches, Occupational Health and Wellness Professionals) to our meetings.  The work we all do is often times inter-connected in meaningful and significant ways to the employees and the organizations we serve.

I’d like to encourage all members to “bring a colleague” to a meeting.  The cost for members and non-members is “free”.  PDH’s are provided.  Our meetings are held at various locations. View our calendar.

During my time as President, I hope to bring technology to our meetings so those who are further away and can attend remotely, and begin to offer CEU’s at our monthly chapter meetings.EAP is always changing to meet the demands of our customers, whether it is an organization, an employee, a Union, an affiliate provider or family member as an EAP Chapter we must strive to meet those needs of our members also.So if you ever have a suggestion or comment do not be afraid to bring it up or to contact me or any of our board members and we will see what we can do.
